Infographic Final Project

The focus of my infographic project was to bring awareness to period poverty, Women have to spend a lot of their money on sanitary products that are highly taxed and should be provided for free. Colleges give out free condoms why not give out free sanitary products? I believe the facts I added to highlight, how much money women spend on sanitary products and how that affects them. I wanted the infographic to catch people's attention that's why I stuck with the different shades of pink and black. I thought the colors together were very eye-catching. I picked pink because it is often stereotyped as being a "feminine" color but also to tie in the reason that sanitary products are so expensive is the pink tax. I also added some blue to make the statistics pop more and to also match the color of the pad. I changed the font of the words to white so it made the infographic seem brighter and more appealing. I wanted to make little pads to further showcase the goal of the infographic. The pads were the most difficult part to make because it was tricky getting the coloring and the right amount of transparency. I also put my facts in circles because I believed they were eyecatching and also made reading the facts more fun!
