I really enjoyed the presentation from Professor Shaban. I thought it was very informative and I had not yet learned about journalism in the media. One of the most effective live streaming I have encountered was when SLU had their Breonna Taylor vigil. I had to work and I was able to watch the live stream at work which was a great way for students who were not on campus to still be involved in the vigil and also still get to learn from what happened at the vigil and how we as students can work to improve SLU for our black and brown students. Another way I have seen live streams being used, effectively is when celebrities have conversations with activists on certain issues. I know I have watched a couple of Brandon Flynn's with various Black Lives Matter activists and it was a great way to inform viewers of how they can help the movement. The final way that I have seen effective live streaming is when celebrities do concerts or live readings to raise money for charity. I know Niall Horan just did one that raised money for concert crews that have not been able to work. I think it is a great way to get people to enjoy the entertainment but to also use live streaming for a good cause.
