The issue I would like to address with my infographics is the fact that sanitary products are taxed in most states. This is known as the pink tax which basically means that a majority of women's hygiene products are taxed because the government knows they have to have them so they are willing to pay for them. I believe it is ridiculous that people have to pay for menstrual products at all considering people who menstruate can not control that they do it! I also think it is ridiculous that stores often provide tampons and pads in their bathroom but you have to pay to receive them. I would like to address this inequality in the taxation of sanitary products and how they are so expensive that it can be hard for people with low income to buy them. I believe periods are a taboo topic in the world but they apparently are not taboo enough to not make money off of them.
